Termite inspections are essential for early detection of termite activity on your property. The earlier a termite infestation is detected, the better chance you have at avoiding potential damage and expensive repairs.
Since termites are active 24/7, we recommend that you have your property by a professional termite pest control company like Ehrlich annually. You should also schedule a termite inspection if you suspect any activity or see any signs of termites. Termite inspections will assess the conditions that make a property more susceptible to different types of termites and wood destroying organisms to minimize any risk of attack or current infestation.

But you can rest assured that your termite Technician will take time to determine the best termite treatment for your individual needs.
A termite inspection to complete a real estate purchase is subject to fees, typically covered by the seller of the home. The cost of the inspection can vary based on the size of the property, location, and property type. Contact your local Ehrlich office to gain more information regarding the cost of termite inspections.
Ehrlich Pest Control does provide customers with professional termite and wood-destroying organism inspections for real estate purchases and refinancing. In addition to termites, Ehrlich Technicians are trained to inspect for evidence of other wood destroying organisms such as carpenter ants, carpenter bees, and wood-boring beetles.
When going through the home-buying process, a mortgage lender can require a termite inspection for loan approval. The Veterans Administration (VA) requires a wood-destroying organism inspection for more than 30 states in the U.S. before they will close a loan. According to the Federal House Administration (FHA), a termite inspection is required to ensure the home is free from termites and other wood-destroying pests before the FHA will approve the loan.
An Ehrlich Technician conducting a real estate inspection will provide the necessary written documentation needed in the presence or absence of wood-destroying organism activity. No matter who you are getting your loan from, it is important that you contact your local office to discuss your options.
To request a termite inspection, you need to contact your local Ehrlich Pest Control office. One of our representatives will work with you to set up a convenient time for a Technician to come out and inspect your property. After your termite inspection is complete, your Ehrlich Technician will prepare an estimate for treatments for you, keeping your unique needs in mind. You can then work together to decide the best course of action for termite treatments and follow-up.
Free inspections apply to current homeowners as of the date of the inspection who make use of the home as their primary residence. Limitations apply. Discuss your specific plan with your Ehrlich technician.
