With the exception of inspections for real estate purchases, initial termite inspections provided by Ehrlich Technicians are conducted free of charge to property owners. Keep in mind, if termite activity is found during the inspection there may be other associated pest control costs, if you decide to move forward with one of our available plans. But you can rest assured that your termite Technician will take time to determine the best termite treatment for your individual needs.

A termite inspection to complete a real estate purchase is subject to fees, typically covered by the seller of the home. The cost of the inspection can vary based on the size of the property, location, and property type. Termite inspections for home purchases

Ehrlich Pest Control does provide customers with professional termite and wood-destroying organism inspections for real estate purchases and refinancing. In addition to termites, Ehrlich Technicians are trained to inspect for evidence of other wood destroying organisms such as carpenter ants, carpenter bees, and wood-boring beetles.

When going through the home-buying process, a mortgage lender can require a termite inspection for loan approval. The Veterans Administration (VA) requires a wood-destroying organism inspection for more than 30 states in the U.S. before they will close a loan. According to the Federal House Administration (FHA), a termite inspection is required to ensure the home is free from termites and other wood-destroying pests before the FHA will approve the loan.
