In the United States, we are lucky to have a varied environment that is rich in wildlife. There are, however, times when elements of our wildlife can come into conflict with people and properties. When this occurs, the problems that wildlife can pose vary from damage to the structure of buildings to harming crops and plants. On rare occasions, they can pose health risks, too.
That’s where we come in. We have the knowledge and wildlife removal and control methods to ensure your property is safe and risk-free of any harmful pests.
Ehrlich specialists work hard to keep your home pest-free.
Wildlife control involves the capture and removal of nuisance pests on your property. A nuisance animal is any critter that is not considered a pest, such as bats, chipmunks, raccoons, squirrels, and more. Wildlife management is a niche skill within the pest control industry and should be left to the experts.
Please contact us immediately if you need any wildlife removed from your property. In addition to the possibility of getting scratched or bitten, there are also many health risks associated with wildlife animals and their droppings that can result in various viruses and diseases.
There are multiple methods used to control various wildlife critters, and when dealing with wildlife, no two methods are the same. Your specialist will use either a trapping and release method, exclusion, or sometimes, both, depending on the type of wildlife you are trying to remove.
We offer trapping services for all mammals except for bats. Depending on the type of wildlife, we will check the traps daily to ensure a humane capture. The trapping method will usually only be used if the wildlife pest is a nuisance. If this isn’t the case, we will use exclusion methods to control the critter.
Our exclusion methods involve sealing any cracks, gaps, holes, and crevices in your home to close off entry points that wildlife may use to gain entry to your property. This will help to control the wildlife and keep them from infesting your yard. In a lot of instances, we will combine our exclusion services with our trapping services to close off other openings that the nuisance wildlife could use to regain entry to the structure.
Depending on the type of pest you are dealing with, we may combine our exclusion services with the use of one-way doors. One-way doors allow the animal, usually squirrels, to exit the structure it has infested, but not re-enter.
As stated above, wildlife includes any animal that is not considered a pest. Here at Ehrlich, we control and remove the following wildlife animals:
While maintaining the highest levels of pest risk management for our customers, we always stay aware of many non-target species among urban and rural wildlife. As unique elements of our national flora, they need protection, and several species in the United States are protected to varying degrees by legislation. Our specialists adhere to all state laws and regulations regarding any protected species.
We do not recommend trying to control any wildlife pests on your property by yourself. Managing wildlife pests in your yard or home should be left to the experts. The specialists at Ehrlich are educated in wildlife identification and proper removal. After a thorough inspection, your specialist will know the type of animal you are dealing with, which is crucial in deciding on the method for control.
