Step 2: Set traps at least six inches apart.

Step 3: Bait traps with something that won't spoil, such as dry pet food or a bacon cheese spread.
How? Apply a pea-sized amount to prevent rodents from nibbling at the bait.
Tip! Avoid using poison, as this will result in rodents dying in your walls, where they'll emit an unpleasant odor.
Bonus Tip! If possible, tie traps down so injured mice or rats cannot run off with them.
