North American spiders you should know!
Yellow sac spider.
Builds web in crevices. Nocturnal, most bites happen at night. Bites can be painful and cause skin irritation, but rarely anything serious.
Hobo spider.
Commonly found in basements and around homes. Rarely build webs above ground level. Reportedly can be very aggressive when protecting its eggs.
Brown recluse spider.
Most venomous spider in North America. Bites are often very painful and can cause rotting flesh. They are shy and rarely bite unless provoked.
Black widow spider.
Identified by shiny black color with red marks, often in an hourglass shape on the abdomen. Create messy webs in hidden places. They become more active during mating season in the fall.
