Wajid Ali is the Head of IoT Customer Success and Deployment at Rentokil Initial, where he helps bridge the gap between technical innovation and global operations. 

With more than 20 years of experience across the defense and commercial sectors, Wajid has played a key role in growing Rentokil Initial's Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities into a core part of the company's global pest control strategy.

Wajid background and experience

Wajid has spent more than two decades delivering complex technology and product programs across both the defense and commercial industries. 

Before joining Rentokil Initial, he supported the delivery of large-scale defense programs, developing extensive experience in program management, systems engineering, and customer delivery.

Since joining the company in 2012, Wajid has helped shape RI’s strategy, first leading global new product introduction initiatives before transitioning into IoT customer success and deployment. In these roles, he has managed the launch of innovative pest control technologies across international markets, including world-leading LED fly control solutions and connected IoT pest management systems.

Today, Wajid leads the global deployment and customer success strategy for RI’s IoT portfolio, working closely with regional markets to ensure new technologies are successfully implemented, adopted, and continuously improved. 

His expertise lies in combining engineering, product management, and customer success to deliver scalable solutions that drive business growth and improve customer experiences.

Wajid is an expert in new product introduction (NPI) with a career spanning from world-leading LED fly control technology to multi-billion-dollar defense programs. 

At RI, he’s managed the hygiene and pest product portfolios, overseeing the entire lifecycle from planning and concept to global adoption

Global program and project management

With over 20 years of experience, Wajid is a highly skilled program manager specializing in product development, delivery, and deployment across defense and commercial B2B applications. 

He’s a certified PRINCE2® Practitioner and holds an ITIL® Foundation certificate in IT service management
