Warm weather and outdoor fun go hand in hand. But when that outdoor fun puts your family and pets in contact with ticks, that fun can quickly be spoiled. This season, Ehrlich wants to ensure you’re informed about tick dangers

Tick season has already begun, putting your family and pets at risk. Dangerous tick species – such as the blacklegged tick, more commonly known as the deer tick – are expanding their range, and residents in many areas of the U.S. may encounter them this season. In the Eastern U.S., particularly the Northeast and areas of the Midwest, scientists are warning doctors that they may see a dramatic spike in Lyme disease in 2017.

Protecting yourself, your family, and your pets from ticks begins with understanding tick dangers. Be sure you’re informed with Ehrlich’s easy-to-share one-page fact sheet that covers must-know information, including tips for tick protection, species of concern, tick-borne pathogens, and even how to remove a tick. Share it with your loved ones!

  1. Love the fact sheet! It is very concise. Consider adding Bartonella to the pathogen list and “showering after spending time outdoors in endemic areas” to the list of precautions to take.
