Local Pest Trends...

The Hudson Valley area experiences different pest problems throughout the year. In winter, we experience an increase in rodent control calls. In spring, termites begin to swarm. In summer, ants, stinging pests and flies become highly active. Finally, stink bugs in recent years have become a problematic pest in the fall.

Success Stories...

Late on Friday of Memorial Day weekend this year, we received a call from one of our food manufacturing customers. Their concern was a stored product pest issue in one of their warehouses.

This particular pest can multiply quickly so putting treatment off until after the holiday weekend would have led to major problems with stored food infestation. Two of our technicians and one of our managers arrived on-site around 6 PM that evening to seek out the source of the infestation and treat to rid the facility of this pest.

A couple of hours later we had found and removed the infested containers, treated the facility, and eliminated the possibility of this issue becoming a significant problem. In addition to this Friday evening work, one of our technicians took it upon himself to go back Saturday morning to inspect and make sure we had found everything.
