Supporting Edible Insects and Raising Pest Awareness

The aim of Pestaurant is to educate the public about pests, while celebrating Ehrlich’s rich heritage in pest control - 87 years keeping the Eastern U.S. pest free. During the event, we will have experts from the local Boston branch on hand to offer free, valuable advice and top tips on how to avoid a pest infestation in your home and/or workplace as well as answer any of your pest related questions.

Why Pestaurant?

Aside from helping to raise pest awareness, Pestaurant aims to motivate participants to be more adventurous with their food as well as promoting the tremendous health benefits of an insect rich diet already enjoyed by billions across the world.

Entomophagy (eating insects) is encouraged and promoted by the United Nations as a viable source of food. Introducing insects into your diet provides you with high levels of protein, zinc and calcium. For example, did you know that a cricket can contain up to 25g of protein per 100g? Insects are also extremely low in fat and rich in vitamins.
