Narrow and cylindrical with many body segments.
Each body segment has two pairs of legs 17–100 pairs of legs.
Lifecycle
Eggs are deposited in clusters in the soil and immature stages pass through several moults over about 2 years.
Habits
Millipedes feed on plants and damp/decaying vegetable matter. They roll into a spiral when disturbed.
Usually found outdoors.
