State College, PA, January 16, 2009 – Lee Gouty, a Senior Technician with Ehrlich Pest Control in State College, has been recognized by Pest Control Technology Magazine as “Residential Technician of the Year” for 2008.
PCT Technician of the Year Awards recognize the achievements of the industry’s frontline professionals. Each year, PCT’s judges choose a trio of service professionals in the commercial, residential and termite categories.
Ehrlich District Manager Keith Hamilton has worked with Gouty for over 20 years and nominated him for the award. Hamilton said that no one deserved this recognition more. “Lee has a “WOW” affect on his customers and always goes beyond what is expected. He just flat out “gets it” when it comes to providing the excellent service his customers deserve. He is 100% committed to his customers and is always there for them. He loves going to work. He is always the first co-worker to arrive in the morning and the last to leave at night. He works long hours, weekends when needed and is the first to sign up when we need help on specialty jobs which may require very early morning or late night hours. His work ethics are unmatched.”
Gouty has been with Ehrlich for 32 years and started as a Pest Control Technician. He services customers in the immediate State College area, including the State College Borough, Boalsburg, and several surrounding townships. Lee is responsible for providing pest control to over 400 residential home owners.
His son Matt, having grown up hearing how much his dad loved his job, serves as a Technician in Ehrlich’s Wilmington, DE office.
Ehrlich Pest Control provides residential and commercial pest control services throughout the Mid-Atlantic. The company was founded in 1928.
