Ehrlich Colleague Spotlight: Mischelle Ambrosio

Mischelle Ambrosio, District Manager in Baltimore

Meet Mischelle Ambrosio, Baltimore District Manager, a 29-year Ehrlich veteran and one of just 3% of women nationwide who make their careers in the pest control industry.

A native of Lancaster County, PA, Mischelle began her career with Ehrlich as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) in 1988. Mischelle had the privilege of working with then 80-year old Mrs. Elizabeth Ehrlich, our founder’s wife who oversaw the Termite Division, for a short period of time. Even in our early days the women at Ehrlich held significant and vital positions in our business!

Like many in the pest control business, Mischelle’s career developed from an interest in helping people. As a CSR, she did plenty of that – and gained a great deal of knowledge about the business.

“It’s the kind of industry that always is presenting you with something new and different. There is nothing repetitive about pest control,” Mischelle exclaims. “The fascinating thing about insects is that they keep emerging and adapting, once you think you figure them out, you find a new pest and a new challenge.”

She soon graduated to office manager, then trainer, traveling throughout the Northeast to teach new hires and managers about the business. She was then presented with the opportunity to manage her own District in Montgomery County, Maryland. In three years, she and her team turned a struggling operation around. Mischelle’s district saw double-digit growth by year four and she was honored at the company’s annual conference with the Ehrlich District Manager of the Year Award.

Her success there led her to take the lead in one of our largest operations in North America, the Baltimore District, where she’s applying the same Ehrlich commitment to quality service built on relationships that led to her earlier successes. And despite her busy schedule, she continues to help train others in the business.

Despite making a career out of pest control, Mischelle has an affinity for bees and lady bugs. The fondness and her leadership spirit led to a special gift that Mischelle treasures.

“I was gifted a beautiful lapel pin of a Queen Bee from one of my colleagues for my 25th career anniversary,” says Mischelle.

Mischelle is truly the Queen Bee at Ehrlich and a key member of our organization. We’re proud to call her one of our colleagues.
